The TCS Industrial Message Displays are tailored to meet individual requirements by using a module construction method. The Displays come with a vast array of communications options to integrate with varied plant floor automation controllers or directly to a PC. There is also a 2.4Ghz wireless option that gives a cost-effective means of linking multiple displays back to an Ethernet or DeviceNet network. TCS can provide engineering expertise for customised 3rd party communications protocols if required.
The TCS Industrial Message Displays can be configured from 2 to 256 characters in both 100 x 60mm and 50 x 30mm character sizes. Characters can be arranged in any panel layout required, ensuring the optimum display layout for a specific application. The brightness display options are high-bright for indoor applications or super-high-bright for outdoor applications.
Standard Message Displays are supplied with RS-485 communications but can have Ethernet TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, CAN, Modbus-RTU, RS-232 or any of Anybus CompactCom protocols (Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, CC-Link, Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP, USB, Bluetooth) added.
The TCS Multi-Display 2.4Ghz wireless controller can be used to RF connect multiple Message Displays within a 300 metre radius for indoor applications or a 1 km radius for line of sight outdoor applications. The Multi-Display 2.4Ghz wireless controller can connect to plant floor via Ethernet TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, RS-232 or RS-485/422 and is web enabled to allow simple configuration to the data path of each Message Display.
The Message Displays can be supplied without enclosures, or in a range of enclosures from cost effective aluminium through to IP67 stainless steel for harsh environments. Standard aluminium enclosures provide IP52 protection for the display panels while custom stainless steel and powder coated mild steel can also be designed and manufactured up to IP67 standard.
TCS is able to supply skilled engineering resources to engineer specific individual display requirements into plant floor automation or IT architecture, or to provide sample PC/PLC code to assist the engineering of specific display solutions.
The Message Displays can be tightly integrated to the plant floor automation or stand-alone with pre programmed messages. Customised Message Displays can be web-enabled and contain their own unique logic functionality.
