The TCS DeviceNet Infra Red Slip Ring provides DeviceNet / CAN
communications to rotating equipment. The slip ring is capable of
transmitting data at 125 k-baud and requires no configuration. |
The slip ring unit interfaces directly to your existing DeviceNet / CAN network and supports the full 64 node count. Nodes can reside on either side of slip ring unit.
Bit-wise arbitration is determined dynamically within the slip ring unit to detect which side of the network has control.
The slip ring unit comes fitted with open style connectors to conform to the DeviceNet specifications and has LED status indication to display data transmission activity.
The polycarbonate enclosure provides protection against mechanical damage and the connecting collar protects from the ingress of dust.
Simple to install and easy to use
The TCS Infra Red Slip Ring unit requires zero setup, just connect the DeviceNet cable as if you are wiring a junction box. The slip ring unit is supplied from the network power supply and the unit does the rest. The Slip ring unit acts as a pass through with zero speed degradation.
